Fast return on investment with representative analysis

If representative results matter, the Quant FT-NIR analyser
from Q-Interline is the right choice. The Quant is used for
non-destructive analysis of solids, powders, pastes, and liquids.
It will supply you with fast and representative results.
The Quant is ideal for production optimisation and quality control.
It will ensure that you know what is really in your product.

Exceptional spectral performance

The Quant is the only analyser based on second-generation FT-NIR technology. The exceptional spectral performance of the Quant will generate the highest quality spectrum with the lowest noise. Such extreme spectral quality allows for superior quantification of traditional components, and also makes the Quant ideal for the quantification of low signal components.

Low cost of ownership

The Quant has no scheduled maintenance, and the light source and laser have an expected lifetime of 10 years. There is a lifetime warranty on the interferometer-scanning mechanism and on all optical components of the interferometer against damage or degradation by moisture. The Quant uses no chemicals, and the sample containers are either inexpensive or re-usable, thus minimising the cost per analysis.

Flexible solution

The Quant lifetime supersedes that of any computer. Consequently, the Quant comes with an external all-in-one Windows computer. This drastically reduces any computer-related downtime in the equipment. The all-in-one computer enables a wide range of PC accessories, thus offering the user maximum flexibility, e.g. label printer, barcode reader, upgradable windows, LIMS connectivity and virus scanner.

Optimised sampling solutions

Applying correct representative sampling in the first place is essential. Presenting the sample to the analyser in the right way is a second and equally important step to ensure results that are free from unpredictable sampling errors. It’s a matter of finding the right balance between being right and being easy!

All the sampling accessories developed by Q-Interline mentioned below, are the result of our extensive experience and knowledge in the field of representative sampling and respect for the Theory of Sampling.

A perfect match between superior technology and sampling

The Vial Sampler offers easy handling for liquid samples. The liquid samples are filled in low-cost disposable glass vials and a lid can be applied, thus offering sealed and secure handling. The vial is placed in the sampler from the top. The system offers temperature control to eliminate unwanted temperature effects. After the analysis, simply dispose of the vial in the appropriate manner – no cleaning – then the system is ready for the next analysis. We also offer the DairyQuant GO, which is ideal for liquid (dairy) samples.

The patented Spiral Sampler will change the way you work. The heterogenic agricultural samples are fitted into the AgriTube and sealed. Multiple samples can be prepared and lined up for scanning. The AgriTubes are placed in the Spiral Sampler, thus offering truly representative scanning – an amazing 375 cm2 surface in the highest FT-NIR quality. The Spiral Sampler provides up to 20 times more scanning surface than traditional petri dish solutions. With the Spiral Sampler you can avoid cumbersome and time-consuming pre-treatment of the samples and, after analysis, the AgriTubes are easily cleaned and reused, thus making cost per analysis very low.

The Petri Sampler is a well-known and very versatile method of scanning. It requires homogeneous samples with no segregation. The sample is placed in the petri dish, which is subsequently placed in the sampler. To minimise the effect from heterogeneity, the Petri Sampler spins continuously during analysis. The petri dish can be made from either glass, plastic or Teflon, thus enabling use near the production area.

The unique Cup Sampler is developed for butter analysis by operators, but is optimal for any pasty product. The reusable Teflon cup is easy to fill; considerably easier than the Petri Sampler when it comes to pasty products such as butter. The sample is placed in the cup and a smooth surface is created by scraping. Scanning is performed on the top surface, thus eliminating effects from cleaning. To minimise the effects from heterogeneity the cup spins continuously during analysis. The cup is very easy to clean after analysis and is then ready for the next sample.

  • Butter – solid and liquid
  • Margarine

The Bottle Sampler is a unique Q-Interline accessory, offering tumbling and spinning of the sample in a sealed 125 ml container. The samples are prepared in the 125 ml glass bottles and sealed lids, optionally with barcode, are applied. This allows for the preparation of many samples prior to scanning – ideal for many commercial labs.
The sample is analysed by reflection measurement. The optical design suppresses impact from the bottle itself. The bottle rotates continuously during analysis providing solid representative scanning, ensuing all particles have an equal chance of becoming part of the resulting spectrum. After analysis simply empty, clean and reuse the bottles many times and enjoy low cost per analysis.
